Driving Under Suspension (DUS) & Driving Without a License (No O.L.)

If you are charged with Driving Under Suspension (DUS) or Driving Without a valid License (commonly called No O.L.), you could face up to 180 days or six months in jail and fines up to $1,000.00.  Additionally, you could have your driver’s license further suspended by the Court or the Bureau of Motor Vehicles (BMV), have your car impounded or even forfeited to the State, or have your license plates impounded.

          Ross & Calaway, L.L.C. has successfully defended and appealed cases for clients charged with driving under all types of suspensions, including FRA or Financial Responsibility Act suspensions, Non-Compliance suspensions, 12-Point suspensions, insurance suspensions, child support suspensions, OVI/DUI/DWI suspensions, Administrative License Suspension (ALS) suspensions, and judgment suspensions.

          We are often able to get DUS or No O.L. charges dropped or dismissed and suspensions and points cleared or removed from our client’s driving records through negotiation with the court and prosecutor, or by finding errors made by the Bureau of Motor Vehicles (BMV) or the officer in writing the ticket.

          In other cases, we have been able to get our clients driving privileges to work, school and for medical and child-related needs.

          We know how and can help you obtain a limited or occupational driving permit through the courts or the BMV.  To obtain limited or occupational driving privileges, you will often need to obtain current proof of insurance, pay a reinstatement or filing fee to the BMV or court, obtain a letter or documentation from your employer or school verifying your employment or school hours, and you may have to complete a remedial driving class in certain limited cases.
